SUBMICRON TECHNOLOGY

  • Sub-micron particles can penetrate the hair cortex much better than larger particles that are not sub-micron or nano in scale.

  • Glycidoxy Dimethicone of Uberliss Regenerator becomes miscible with water when in sub-micron emulsion form. It is able to react with broken bonds and additionally forms new crosslinks with the side chains of the hair polypeptides.

  • The sub-micron emulsion of the ceramides and phytosterols present in the Bond Shampoo and Amplifier are able to penetrate the cortex and are responsible in strengthening and moisturizing hair.

MOISTURE CONTENT OF HAIR UBERLISS BOND SYSTEM – REPEATED TREATMENTS

The lightened hair with just one treatment of Uberliss Bond System, followed by multiple treatments with the Uberliss Bond Shampoo and Bond Amplifier, increased moisture significantly after 5, 10, 15, and 20 treatments at 40% and 70% Relative Humidities, as compared to untreated hair (p < .05)

  • The pH of hair before treatment was 5.5 and during treatment with the hair lightener increased to 9.2. The pH dropped to 8.0 after rinsing the bleaching mixture.

  • The pH dropped to 6.6 after Uberliss Bond shampoo treatment. The pH dropped further to 5.5 after using Uberliss Bond Amplifier

  • The final pH of the hair after lightening is not different from before treatment, as the p > .05.

  • After lightening the pH returned to a normalized stage when using the Uberliss Bond System.

pH OF SKIN/SCALP

A skin study was conducted where the forearm skin was treated with lightening mixture containing Uberliss Bond Regenerator & ‘Benchmark’ for 15 minutes. The bleaching mixture was rinsed and treated with each Bond Shampoo and Bond Conditioner. The pH of the skin/scalp was normalized after treatment.

  • The moisture content of the skin/scalp before & after the lightening process with the Uberliss Bond.

  • Two separate tests were conducted on the forearm. Treated with a lightening mixture containing Uberliss Bond Regenerator and a separate sample with the benchmark for 15 minutes followed by respective shampoo and conditioner.       
  • Lightening with Uberliss Bond System regained more moisture than the benchmark lightening system.
