These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to our Prize Draw. Please read the Terms before entering our Prize Draw.
Promoter:
The Promoters of the Prize Draw are Avlon Europe Limited of Lynwood House, 373-375 Station Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 2AW (the “Promoter”).
Eligibility:
The Prize Draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter or their affiliated brands and companies and those employees’ immediate families, or any other persons professionally connected with the Prize Draw or their immediate families.
No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
Prize Draw entries:
Details of how to enter the Prize Draw (including the opening and closing date of the Prize Draw) will be set out in the specific rules relating to the Prize Draw which are published on the Promoter’s social media platform(s) (“Specific Rules”).
The Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
If there is a limit on the number of entries to the Prize Draw per person, this will be set out in the Specific Rules.
Late, incomplete or corrupted entries (including, but not limited to, entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault) or those not made in accordance with these Terms, will be automatically disqualified. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for entries delayed for any reason whatsoever. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for ineligible or incomplete entries.
Participation in the Prize Draw constitutes acceptance of these Terms. By entering the Prize Draw all entrants will be deemed to be bound by these Terms and the Specific Rules.
The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Prize to anyone in breach of these Terms.
The Prize:
Winners of the Prize Draw (“Winners”) will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process within 5 days of the closing date of the Prize Draw (as set out in the Specific Rules).
The Prize Draw prize (“Prize”) will be as described in the Specific Rules.
The Prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The Prize will only be awarded directly to the Winners. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative prize which may be of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
Winner(s):
The Promoter will notify the Winners that they have won by direct messaging the Winners (using details provided at entry) no later than 30 days after the Closing Date, or as soon as practicable thereafter. It is the entrants’ responsibility to check whether they have been named as a Winner and if so, to claim their Prize in accordance with these Terms.
The Winners must, within 48 hours of the Promoter’s direct message, claim their Prize by responding via email to the Promoter, providing the postal address to which they require the Prize to be sent (which must be situated in the UK). If any Winner does not respond to the Promoter within the timeframe specified or they are unable to accept the Prize for any reason whatsoever (or are disqualified from receiving the Prize in accordance with these Terms), they shall forfeit their right to receive the Prize and the Promoter may carry out a further draw to select an alternative winner. The alternative winner will be the first entry drawn at random from all other entrants to the Prize Draw. If any alternative winner fails to claim their Prize in accordance with these Terms, the Promoter reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to either carry out a further selection at random to select a further alternative winner, or donate the Prize (or an alternative prize of equal or greater value) to a charity of their choice.
The Promoter will dispatch the Prize to the Winners by post within 30 days of receipt of the Winner’s message claiming their Prize, or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter. The Winners must ensure that the postal address provided is correct. No liability will be accepted by the Promoter if the Prize is lost or delayed during delivery.
Winning claims are subject to a full verification process and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Winner if the Promoter is aware or has reasonable grounds to believe that a Winner is not eligible or if the Promoter has grounds to believe that a Winner has breached any of the Terms.
The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the Winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails the Promoter using the contact details set out at the bottom of these Terms or write to the Promoter at their address set out in these Terms (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within 1 month after the Closing Date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter using the contract details set out at the bottom of these Terms. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or amend the Prize Draw and/or the Closing Date without notice for circumstances which are beyond their reasonable control or where it becomes necessary to do so. The Promoter also reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
By entering the Prize Draw, entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current and complete and that they are of the appropriate age to enter the Prize Draw. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof as to the eligibility of entrants.
Limitation of liability:
Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter, their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winners or accept any liability for loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, their agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Data protection and publicity:
Personal data supplied during the course of the Prize Draw will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (published on their website). See also these Terms relating to the announcement of winners.
General:
In the event of any dispute regarding the conduct of the Prize Draw and all matters relating to the Prize Draw, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding and no correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
These Terms and the Prize Draw are governed by English law. If any entrants to the Prize Draw wish to take court proceedings, they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
